Reading The North Star Times is public. Submitting to the newsroom, managing a newsletter preference, or using the editor workspace requires ChatGPT sign-in through our hosting platform.

What we save

Reader submissions include the signed-in account’s email, the sender name, submission type, title, message, optional reference link, and review status. Newsletter records include an email, name, subscription status, and signup/update dates. These records are stored in the website’s database and are available only to authorized editors through the application.

Email delivery

Brevo has been selected for the planned newsletter but is not connected. Signup currently saves a subscription preference; it does not send an email. Before delivery begins, the publisher must configure the service and its privacy and unsubscribe settings. Subscriber data should only be transferred for the consented newsletter purpose.

Your choices

Use the newsletter page to unsubscribe. To request a correction, access to a submission, or deletion of your reader information, contact the Public Editor through the contact form. Do not submit passwords, payment details, or information you do not want the newsroom to receive.

External publishers, source websites, and sign-in services have their own privacy practices. This notice describes the newspaper’s application records and does not replace those services’ policies.
